Tomato Pasta Sauce

An easy tomato sauce great to replace bottled pasta sauce and great as the base to bolognese. Perfect for hiking if you pre-mix all the dry ingredients before you go. Then just add to boiling water and finish with olive oil and toss through your favorite pasta.

INGREDIENTS

 
 

METHOD

  1. Bring water to the boil

  2. Add all the dehydrated vegetables (Tomato Powder, Tomato Granules, Red Bell Pepper (capsicum), Onion Chopped, & Garlic Granules) to the boiling water and mix.

  3. Bring to the boil then turn down to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes

  4. Add Dried Oregano, Ground Cumin, & Chilli Powder and cook for a further 10 minutes

  5. Add olive oil and season. (if too thick add a little water)

  6. Now you have a tomato pasta sauce you can use as the base for all your recipes and dishes that need tomato pasta sauce.
